Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade (Printer-friendly)

Steeped green tea meets peach syrup and fresh lemonade for a bright, icy summer beverage with optional mint and peach slices.

# Ingredient List:

→ Green tea

01 - 2 green tea bags
02 - 2 cups hot water (about 175°F)

→ Peach syrup

03 - 1 cup peach nectar or peach juice
04 - 2 tablespoons simple syrup or 2 tablespoons agave syrup (to keep vegan)

→ Lemonade

05 - 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
06 - 1/2 cup cold water
07 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

→ To serve

08 - Ice cubes
09 - Fresh peach slices (optional)
10 - Fresh mint leaves (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Pour 2 cups of hot water (about 175°F) over the green tea bags. Steep for 2–3 minutes, remove the bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature or chill in the refrigerator until cool.
02 - In a pitcher combine 1 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup cold water and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
03 - In a small bowl whisk together 1 cup peach nectar and 2 tablespoons simple syrup or agave until uniform. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
04 - Fill glasses with ice. Combine equal parts cooled green tea, peach syrup and lemonade in each glass (or mix in a pitcher using a 1:1:1 ratio). Stir gently to combine.
05 - Top with fresh peach slices and mint leaves if desired and serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The balance of tart lemonade and sweet, floral peach makes each sip genuinely refreshing on a hot day.
  • It’s incredibly easy to customize for your own sweetness or strength preferences—my kind of forgiving recipe.
02 -
  • If you let the green tea bags sit a minute too long, the whole drink will taste strangely earthy—set a timer, trust me.
  • Swapping in homemade peach purée once turned this from good to absolutely unforgettable—ripe fruit makes all the difference.
03 -
  • Always let your green tea cool completely—rushing this step waters down the flavors.
  • The real trick is balancing tart, sweet, and floral; a tiny dash more lemon or syrup at the end can work wonders.
